According to e-teatr.pl, Katarzyna Sołtys, who comes from Bolesławiec, won the competition for the position of general director of the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre in Jelenia Góra. She will replace Tadeusz Wnuk.
Katarzyna Sołtys is a graduate of the State Higher School of Theatre named after L. Solski in Kraków (Faculty Branches in Wrocław). She also completed studies in Scientific Information and Library Science, Culture Promotion – Culture Management at the University of Wrocław, and Modern Human Resources Management at the Wrocław University of Economics.
In 2012–2014, she managed three cultural institutions in Lower Silesia – two cultural centres and one library – where she served as director. Since April 2016, she has served as director of the “Praga” Cultural Centre in Warsaw and has also worked as a district coordinator of the Warsaw Cultural Education Programme.
She began working at the Jelenia Góra theatre on 1 September this year.
