On stage, ensembles appeared that not only presented the richness of Balkan tradition but also swept the audience into a shared celebration. The star of the event was Ansambl Narodnih Igara "LIJEVČE" Razboj-Srbac from Bosnia. Krakowska IGLIKA proved that Polish magnetism and a Balkan soul go hand in hand, while Kapela Herbutów once again provided plenty of positive energy. The following also performed on stage: Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Ziemi Bolesławieckiej, Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Jutrzenka, and the choirs of Stowarzyszenia Reemigrantów Echo Bałkanów and Harmonia.

Balkan flavours – taste tradition!

A culinary adventure was available at the stalls: pita, both savoury and sweet, aromatic pecenica, and warming pepper soup, a Balkan speciality.

Crafts and workshops

Everyone could try their hand at shaping pots on a potter’s wheel, painting Balkan folk patterns or even making pita themselves! The workshops attracted great interest, and more than one person discovered an artist’s or baker’s soul within.

Young participants had access to a free inflatable attraction zone and a tent where Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian fairy tales were read, giving the youngest visitors a taste of distant cultures.

A grand Balkan dance for everyone was prepared to bring the event to a close! Festa Bałkańska in Bolesławice was not only a presentation of tradition, but above all a truly colourful integration of the entire community. Many participants will certainly miss this summer magic for a long time to come!
