We inform you that KAS does not send demands for payment of fines for road traffic offences in the form of informational leaflets, text messages or emails. Such messages, bearing the unlawfully used KAS logo and QR code, come from scammers.
The leaflet/message also contains a QR code that may contain a malicious URL and direct the person scanning it to download malware (malicious software) or unwanted software. Using it may result in data loss or infecting the phone with a virus.
We warn against this type of fraud and urge you to exercise particular caution!
What should you do if you encounter an attempted fraud?
If the message you receive raises doubts, we encourage you to call and clarify the situation via the KAS helpline: 22 330 03 30.
We also encourage you to use the CERT platform, which is used to report all cybersecurity incidents (incident reports: incydent.cert.pl).
