On Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 3:33 p.m., firefighters from OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec received a report of smoke in a multi-family building on Asnyka Street. Two crews from the local unit immediately set out to the scene.

At the scene, it turned out that heavy smoke had filled the stairwell. Firefighters evacuated six residents and then began assessing the situation. It was determined that the source of the smoke was burnt food left unattended on a gas stove on the third floor. The fire had been extinguished before the services arrived, and the firefighters focused on clearing the smoke from the building using fans.

The following services operated at the scene:

  • OSP KSRG Nowogrodziec (2 crews),
  • JRG Bolesławiec (4 crews),
  • Police,
  • Emergency Medical Team.

After checking the apartments and ensuring that the situation was under control, the firefighters concluded their operations. Fortunately, no one was injured.
