The incident was reported by the eluban.pl website. According to preliminary findings, the driver of an Audi leaving Działkowa Street attempted to cross national road no. 30, heading towards Kopernika Street. At that time, a van was stopped in the left-turn lane from the direction of Zgorzelec, restricting the driver's visibility.
The Audi driver entered the intersection without yielding to a Peugeot travelling correctly. As a result of the collision, the Peugeot bounced off and hit an Opel waiting to join the traffic.
The incident caused serious traffic disruptions on Zgorzelecka, Kopernika and Łużycka streets. The intersection was temporarily blocked.
The services that responded at the scene included the police, fire brigade and emergency medical services.
