What’s next for the retail park on Staroszkolna Street?

At the beginning of August, a reader contacted us and wrote:

In February this year, information emerged in the public domain about the planned construction of Vendo Park, together with a Leroy Merlin store, in Bolesławiec. According to the announcements, work was supposed to begin in the first quarter of 2025.

It is now already the third quarter, yet no activity related to the start of construction can be seen on the indicated site. Residents who are looking forward to new jobs and the development of local retail infrastructure are beginning to worry about the lack of progress and information on the matter.

I kindly ask you to address this topic in your newsroom and, if possible, obtain a comment from the investor or city authorities about what will happen next with the planned investment.

We have also received similar messages from other readers.

We sent an inquiry about the construction of Vendo Park to the city office. We received the following response:

In response to the inquiry concerning the construction of the retail park on Staroszkolna Street in Bolesławiec, please direct your questions to the Investor.

We therefore sent the inquiry to the company handling the investment’s media relations.

In the response we received, we read that the final arrangements related to Vendo Park in Bolesławiec are currently being completed and that detailed information will be available at the beginning of September.

For now, it appears that the start and completion of the investment will be delayed. Let us recall that Vendo Park Bolesławiec will be located on a plot of more than 60,000 m², near national road no. 94 (the city bypass), where a roundabout connecting the retail park with the city bypass is to be built.

In our opinion, a station offering cheaper fuel would be very useful in the park. Competitive prices at such a station would certainly attract additional customers to the retail park and would affect the overall level of fuel prices in Bolesławiec. For now, however, nothing is happening on the site...
