Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław conducted inspections at marketplaces in Sieniawka and Porajów. – During the operations, officers found 47 kg of tobacco and more than 306,000 cigarettes without Polish excise stamps – reports Sebastian Polański, chief specialist from the Communications Department at the Tax Administration Chamber in Wrocław.
The goods found in Sieniawka were located in the ruins of a barn adjacent to the marketplace and in metal cabinets placed on the trading area. All the products had been abandoned.
Spokesperson: – In Porajów, meanwhile, officers secured the illegal goods between disused commercial pavilions. They questioned one suspect, who admitted to storing goods without Polish excise stamps.
The value of the illegal tobacco and cigarettes exceeds PLN 290,000. The goods were detained for fiscal criminal proceedings.
