Bogusław Nowak painted his face like a mime, dressed in white, put on wings and rappelled down a rope from the town hall tower. In this surprising way, he delivered a fictitious key to the city gates (during the official opening of the Ceramic Festival, the president traditionally hands the keys to the city to the elder of the Ceramic Brotherhood).

The descent on the rope looked rather bizarre. To monumental music, the restaurateur slowly lowered himself on the rope, writhing in some form of pantomime. Unfortunately, he was several dozen feet above the ground, and his pantomime performance was not understandable.

When he reached the area near the stage, he was suspended five feet above the ground and looked as if he had got stuck there. Unfortunately, the key that the president and the ceramics makers from the Brotherhood were waiting for was tied to his belt. They were beginning to get impatient.

Only the Brotherhood’s elder, Jarosław Rutyna, maintained an unchanging smile as he waited for two security guards to finally help the nearly 70-year-old man land safely and disentangle himself from the harness.

In the end, it turned out that the key had become stuck at the restaurateur’s belt. The monumental music was still playing in the background, while the presenter was doing his best to express admiration and describe this rather uncomfortable situation.

When the restaurateur finally freed himself from the loops, he handed the key to the president, who passed it to Rutyna, who did not take the cheerful smile from his face.

After the ceremony, everyone breathed a sigh of relief that the senior restaurateur had survived this questionably artistic event.
