The final of the municipal “The Environment and Nature Around Us” competition, aimed at pupils in grades 1–3, was held on March 24 at the Primary School in Nowogrodziec. The competition was organized as part of the environmental project “We Want to Play Green”, carried out by the Nowogrodziec primary school. The team from Gościszów took first place (comprising: Natalia Lechocka, Patrycja Duch and Anna Sowa). The team’s supervisor is Barbara Pozańska. The hosts’ team came second (Kacper Janiec, Mateusz Zamorski and Wiktor Nieratka). Third place went to the team from Nowa Wieś (Natalia Berciuk, Wiktor Górak and Julia Kuśmierz).
All competition tasks were prepared by Marek Grzegorz from the Forest District in Lwówek Śląski. The final was conducted by Wiesława Maria Sas, a representative of the Primary School in Nowogrodziec, and Marek Grzegorz. The pupils’ efforts were assessed by a jury consisting of: Marcin Żołna from the Śnieżka Forest District in Kowary; Bożena Mrozik, environmental protection inspector at the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office Bożena Mrozik; Irena Tereszczyn, a teacher at the Nowogrodziec middle school Irena Tereszczyn; and Stanisław Kowalik, the village head of Nowogrodziec.
