On Friday, 1 August, ceremonies commemorating the 81st anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising were held at the Fighting Poland Monument in Bolesławiec. The event took place in a solemn and reflective atmosphere.

In tribute to the heroes of the 1944 fighting, the Honour Guard Company of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment fired a ceremonial salvo. The assembled residents, representatives of local authorities, veterans’ organisations and uniformed services laid flowers and lit candles, expressing their remembrance of and respect for the participants in the uprising.

During the ceremony, the Polish national anthem was played, and the proceedings concluded with a moment of silence—a symbolic gesture of gratitude to those who fought for the freedom of their homeland.
