The accident occurred on Tuesday (April 12) on the road from Łaziska (toward Warta Bolesławiecka). Three cars were involved: an Opel Omega, a Volkswagen Golf and a Nissan Micra (a driving-school vehicle). Preliminary findings indicate that the Golf driver began overtaking the Nissan and failed to notice the Opel driver, who was already overtaking both vehicles. The Opel driver tried to move onto the shoulder. Unfortunately, the cars scraped against each other, and the Volkswagen hit the rear of the Nissan. The driving-school vehicle left the road, went down an embankment and overturned in a field. Two people (the student driver and instructor) traveling in the vehicle were taken to hospital.
