On Saturday (9 April), BKS played an away match against GKS Kobierzyce. From the beginning of the match, both teams had to contend with very strong wind and an uneven pitch. The match began with BKS attacks. In the 12th minute, Serkies, after a pass from Mielnik, tried to lob the GKS goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the ball went just wide of the post. In the 20th minute, Mielnik created another good move. The player passed into the middle, but from 5 metres Filipiak hit the goalkeeper. In addition, the assistant referee indicated that Filip was offside. Our team wasted another excellent opportunity in the 25th minute. Filipiak “sent Serkies through”. With the defenders behind him and practically alone in front of the goalkeeper, Chrystian missed badly and the ball went wide of the Kobierzyce goal. The hosts dominated the closing stages of the first half. In the 40th minute, a GKS player’s shot went narrowly wide of Łokaj’s goal. The Kobierzyce players had their next opportunity in the 42nd minute. Duszeńko found himself one-on-one with Łokaj. Fortunately, he shot too weakly and Wołyński intercepted the ball rolling towards the BKS goal.

The beginning of the second half saw an even contest between both teams. Sworacki wasted the next chance to score in the 60th minute. The BKS player failed to connect with a ball played from a corner kick. In the 69th minute, Wołyński’s header narrowly missed the Kobierzyce goalpost. Two minutes later, Mielnik wasted a goalscoring opportunity. The player delayed his shot and the defenders cleared the ball. Kobierzyce tried to threaten Łokaj with long-range efforts. Fortunately for BKS, the shots missed the goal. Our team’s goalkeeper also made several good saves. In the 76th minute, Przemek Kotlarz scored for BKS amid confusion in front of the GKS goal. Unfortunately, the referee called a foul by Ariel Sworacki on a Kobierzyce player, and the goal was disallowed. Everything indicated that the match would end in a draw. Unfortunately, in the 83rd minute, in a harmless situation, Łokaj fouled a Kobierzyce player in our penalty area. Piotr Mrowiec converted the penalty into a goal.BKS’s subsequent attacks produced no result. The Kobierzyce team defended intelligently and preserved the favourable result until the end of the match. Unfortunately, this is another loss of points through our own fault. A lack of effectiveness in attack and simple errors in defence resulted in another defeat.
