From April 6 to 8, workshops organized as part of the “InterKulturManagment” project were held at Kliczków Castle. The event was attended by students from Bolesławiec, Lubań, Zgorzelec and German schools (Hoyerswerda, Niesky, Görlitz). The whole event was supervised by: Katarzyna Żak, deputy headmistress of the I Liceum Ogólnokształcące, Anna Ostaszewska, a teacher of national defense preparation, and Marek Łętowski, director of MDK and mentor of the SWAT (School Bond of Artistic Talents) student company operating at I LO.
“The workshop participants took on the role of young managers discovering the Saxon–Lower Silesian border region,” he says Kinga Hartmann-Wóycicka from the Saxon Education Agency. – I hope that in the future the education ministry will realize how important it is to develop managerial skills.
“Thanks to workshops like these, young people can learn what cultural management involves,” he states Marek Łętowski. – The participants in these classes are people who have lots of ideas but do not always know how to put them into practice. Here they have an opportunity to gain this knowledge – she adds. – What I learned in Kliczków will certainly be useful to me in the future – she emphasizes Sylwia Duru, a student at I LO.

One of the more important parts of the workshop was the Talent Show organized by SWAT, which took place on Thursday, April 7, at I LO. That day, the audience could see performances by 10 contestants. The third place went to the band Modnar, which also won the audience award. The second place was won by the dance pair Magda and Bartek. And the jury awarded the main prize to the group Random. The band will be able to perform at next year’s Boomfest festival in Görlitz, which will crown the “InterKulturManagment” project.
