The exchange of information and joint findings led criminal investigators from Zgorzelec and Bolesławiec to the same conclusions when identifying the perpetrators of burglaries at stores belonging to the same chain. The Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław: – The suspects are 25-year-old residents of Zgorzelec County. Both were arrested and charged in connection with burglaries in Zgorzelec and Bolesławiec counties.
All the crimes took place at the beginning of July this year. Police: – Their common features were the goods stolen by the perpetrators and their clothing, as during each burglary they wore painters' coveralls.
The two arrested men committed a crime together only in Zgorzelec County. Officers: – They entered the store using the car in which they had arrived at the scene. Using the vehicle, they smashed the shop's window, allowing them to get inside, where they stole tobacco products and alcohol.
Each suspect also has a burglary at a store in Bolesławiec County to his name. In these two cases, the perpetrators also entered the store through a smashed window, but used a hammer to break it. After entering, the criminals also stole cigarettes and alcohol.
Police summarize: – The burglars' arrests are the result of joint efforts to ensure safety. Officers from Zgorzelec and Bolesławiec made the arrests in Zgorzelec County, where both 25-year-olds come from. Joint operations are the result of regular exchanges of information about the type of incidents and people suspected in various cases.
Both suspects were charged with burglary, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. One of the perpetrators is a recidivist, so he faces up to 15 years in prison.
