A resident of Rajska Street in Bolesławiec called us: “For 20 years, we have not had proper access to the buildings. Yesterday, the situation completely overwhelmed us—we could not get home without wading through water.”

One of the city councillors has intervened on several occasions regarding this side road of Rajska Street. After each intervention, the same thing happens: a machine arrives and dumps stones. That was also the case a few days ago. But it did little good, because after the heavy rainfall, the situation is once again deplorable. (The effect can be seen in the photographs.)

– And it has been this way for 20 years already – the woman complains. And she asks: – Is this an area forgotten by the City?

She adds that the residents have already waited long enough. Especially since, as she points out, this is not a particularly large area. And she says it would probably be cheaper for the City to build the road properly once and for all, rather than continually carrying out makeshift repairs.

The woman from Bolesławiec told us that the City had planned to renovate this section, but then the road... disappeared from the plans. The woman’s husband recently emailed city officials about the matter. He received no reply. And when he personally went to the office, the holiday season was given as the explanation.

We asked the city authorities about the matter. We will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
