We received official information from the director of the cultural centre in Bolesławiec, who is responsible for organising the Bolesławiec ceramic handicraft fair. We asked about the event programme, which was supposed to be announced after 14 July but so far appears rather unattractive and extremely modest.

“I am glad that you noticed the apt description of this year's programme as ‘sparse’,” he replied to journalist Grażyna Hanaf’s question Kornel Filipowicz. “Indeed, after last year's sometimes surprising ‘abundance’, we are proposing a clear, perhaps somewhat more modest, but new and safer programme concept,” he added.

For now, the programme concept for the ceramic festival is either secret or so sparse that it cannot be seen.

We are eagerly awaiting what will be included in this sparse programme. At present, we know that Mayor Piotr Roman has abolished the traditional ceramic parade. The handing over of the keys to the ceramic artists is to take place on the steps of the town hall in the market square. As Jarosław Rutyna, head of the Ceramic Brotherhood, announced in an online interview, there will also be a sparse procession of ceramic artists around the market square accompanied by Bogusław Nowak’s theatre.
