High temperatures and a lack of rainfall are creating a high fire risk in forests. On July 1, firefighters from Osiecznica, Bolesławiec and Parowa extinguished a fire in forested areas near Ołobok.
The following day, forested areas near Stara Oleszna caught fire. Firefighters from Trzebień, Bolesławiec and Krzyżowa took part in the operation. Two firefighting aircraft also battled the blaze.
