The man was reportedly going to leave his place of residence in his car. The Duty Officer sent an alert, including a description of the vehicle and the man's appearance, to all patrols on duty. Road Traffic Department officers located the vehicle near one of the forest complexes.
At that point, other officers from throughout Zgorzelec County simultaneously joined the search operation. Due to the threat to the missing man's life and health, an alarm was issued for the entire unit. Additional forces were deployed—a police dog handler from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, as well as officers from the Volunteer Fire Departments in Sulików and Studnisko Dolne.
After several hours, the man was found and handed over to the Emergency Medical Team.
