On the occasion of the Legnica bishop’s visit to Bolesławiec, we asked him several questions about Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz. We recently described the case of a letter that was delivered to the Legnica Curia in May 2025. It was a complaint against the former parish priest from Bolesławiec, whom the bishop transferred to Węgliniec at the end of 2023. It was signed by more than one hundred residents of Węgliniec, both women and men.

The letter raised the issue of Adrian Drankowski’s inappropriate visits to Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz’s parish in Węgliniec. The relationship between the older priest and the young celebrity was described by our portal in 2023; a film about the priest and the celebrity, “Who Is Adrian?”, was also made.

In December 2023, the publication of a report based on social media materials triggered a wave of legal reactions. Father Jarosiewicz and Adrian Drankowski filed a civil lawsuit against the editor of the istotne.pl portal in Jelenia Góra, giving rise to speculation that the aim of the lawsuit was to block and remove the aforementioned film from the internet.

They subsequently initiated two criminal proceedings in Bolesławiec which, due to the identical content of the complaints, were joined. As a result, the priest and the celebrity will appear together as accusers in the courtroom in Bolesławiec.

Recently, Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz has found himself at the center of attention of the national media. He is referred to as a “scandal-monger.” The clergyman is associated with controversies surrounding the unauthorized celebration of perpetual Masses in Bolesławiec and the accounting of the funds collected. These media reports cast a shadow over his ministry and prompt discussions about the ethics of the clergy.

In response to the first question—whether the bishop is aware that Adrian Drankowski continues to visit Father Jarosiewicz in Węgliniec and whether anything has been established in this matter—the bishop lied.

“I know nothing about it. I have not been to Węgliniec for a year,” said Bishop Andrzej Siemieniewski.
The lie was quickly revealed, however, in the next question about the letter from parishioners in Węgliniec, which describes a series of Adrian’s visits to the parish in Węgliniec. The bishop confirmed that he knows about and is investigating the reports contained in the letter he received in May 2025.

“This letter also belongs to those, how shall I put it, comments or observations or reports,” replied Bishop Andrzej Siemieniewski. “And these described situations also need to be examined systematically. Well, it requires a little time, it requires some patience, and then I will consider everything,” the bishop added.

Information reaching our editorial office indicates that Father Andrzej Jarosiewicz is a very strongly protected figure in the Legnica Curia.

“What is interesting is that I have the impression that, in the Diocese of Legnica, the bishop is completely absent as a person,” says lawyer Artur Nowak in a June 2025 interview with Krzysztof Gwizdała. “He is an absolutely inept man who apparently does not really have any idea what to do here. From what I have heard—and I also spoke with priests from this diocese—both Bishop Siemieniewski and Bishop Kiernikowski, although they had some desire to do something, were immediately strongly restrained by certain realities of this diocese. These connections are very strong. The priests from your diocese with whom I spoke talk about some kind of homosexual key in the parishes, and there are parishes that are staffed one hundred percent by homosexual priests,” adds the columnist and lawyer.
