In a conversation available on YouTube on the Sekielski brothers’ channel, Artur Nowak hosts Krzysztof Gwizdała – a journalist for the istotne.pl portal who co-created documentaries exposing the double lives of some members of the clergy. The conversation focuses on priests – especially from the Diocese of Legnica – who publicly condemn LGBT people but privately lead active sex lives on gay dating sites, participate in orgies, use drugs and offer money for sex.

The istotne.pl editorial team’s latest film, “What Do Priests Do When They Take Off Their Cassocks?”, shows, among other things, profiles of members of the clergy on apps such as Grindr (without revealing their identities), their activity, their double lives and the Church’s lack of response.

Krzysztof Gwizdała’s conversation with Artur Nowak discusses:

  • the mechanisms of dependence and the exploitation of young priests by older ones,
  • the fact that many members of the clergy lead lives completely at odds with the values they proclaim,
  • the silence of bishops and the untouchability of some parish priests,
  • the lack of public outrage – this time, no one is accusing the authors from istotne.pl of an “attack on the Church”.
