Wańkowicza Street in Bolesławiec, currently undergoing reconstruction, is facing a serious problem with standing water. The lack of asphalt layers and a sewer manhole that is currently positioned too high mean that rainwater is accumulating on the roadway, with no way to drain away. This situation is causing difficulties for residents and road users, especially after heavy rainfall.
Renovation work on Wańkowicza Street began in May. The surface is scheduled to be laid tomorrow and on Friday. The scope of the works included, among other things, demolishing the old surface, constructing a new roadway, building sidewalks and parking spaces, as well as a drainage system.
