As the fundraiser organizers report:
The home that was meant to be our haven no longer exists.
A year and a half ago, our dream came true – together with our children, our 16-year-old son and 14-year-old daughter, we moved into the home we had built over many years. Every brick was the result of our shared effort, savings and faith that we finally had a place of our own.
The fire took away what was most precious to us.
They add:
The damage is serious. The roof needs to be completely replaced, one of the structural walls has been compromised, the interiors are devastated, and most of the furnishings are unusable.
Instead of everyday peace, today we are facing many difficulties and the question: where do you start when a home stops being a home?
