As reported by I Liceum Ogólnokształcące:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irena Tomaszek-Bazan, a physics teacher at our secondary school from 1976 to 2006.

The school adds:

Generations of graduates remember her as an exceptionally cheerful teacher who was kind to young people and able to explain complex physical phenomena in an accessible way. She also supervised the physics club and co-authored many of her students’ successes in academic competitions. Her students won awards in the Physics and Astronomy Olympiads, as well as in numerous competitions, including the National Young Physicists Tournament. She was repeatedly rewarded and recognised for her work, including receiving the Silver Cross of Merit in 1987.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday, 21 May at the municipal cemetery in Wrocław’s Psie Pole district. It will begin at 3:00 p.m.

The istotne.pl editorial team extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
