Zgorzelec police report:
ATTENTION, DRIVERS! – vehicular traffic on the Zgorzelec–Görlitz border bridge will be closed on Saturday
On Saturday, 17 May 2025, from 11:30 a.m., vehicle traffic on the Jan Paul II border bridge in Zgorzelec will be closed.
The disruption is related to a gathering that will take place on the German side. We suggest choosing alternative routes by using the border crossings at Radomierzyce or Jędrzychowice.
The disruption may last until 3:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the zgorzelec.info service reports that the Jan Paul II bridge will be closed in connection with a protest organized by Robert Bąkiewicz on the German side in Görlitz.
The protest is reportedly against German border checks and the transfer of illegal migrants to Poland.
