Before the election and until it ends, particular attention must be paid to complying with legal provisions that may constitute violations of the legal order in connection with the election. Every violation of the law will be firmly enforced by police officers.

The main objectives of police operations during the election will be to protect polling station precinct commissions before and during voting and until the votes are counted, prevent disruption of public order related to the election, and ensure safety and order in road traffic in connection with operations conducted to secure the election.

Throughout the country, officers will respond, among other things, to:

  • offences related to forging election documents,
  • buying and selling votes,
  • unlawfully influencing another person's vote in the election,
  • violations of the electoral silence,
  • damaging or removing election posters and banners, or covering an election poster with another election poster,
  • removing ballot papers from the polling station premises,
  • damaging seals placed on the entrance doors to the room where ballot papers are kept,
  • aggression and acts of violence against election commission members committed by voters.

The police appeal for order and compliance with regulations, especially those related to the election, and ask that any violations be reported.
