On its social media, the club announced that the KS Kolonia Bolesławiec senior women’s team will soon begin its sporting adventure in the Lower Silesian senior women’s fourth-division competition. The KS Kolonia Bolesławiec senior women’s team is set to join the league competition in the autumn of this year. This is certainly a new chapter in the history of the Bolesławiec football club. The team’s coach explains where the idea to establish a senior women’s team came from and what its goals are for its first season in the senior women’s fourth division:
The idea of creating a senior team and entering official competition was a natural consequence of our academy graduates reaching senior age. In addition, for some time there had been inquiries from adult women who wanted to return to football and asked about the possibility of taking up training. The total number of players training together since this season made it possible to decide to register the team in the senior women’s fourth division.
The first season will certainly be another stage in building the team. The most important thing will be for the players to gain experience in league competition, strengthen their confidence and acquire experience that, hopefully, in the coming seasons will allow the Bolesławiec team to join the fight for promotion to a higher level of competition.
KS Kolonia Bolesławiec:
(...) After months of preparation, our ladies are ready to begin a series of friendly matches, and next season they will represent Bolesławiec in the Lower Silesian Senior Women’s Fourth Division!
This is a team that combines youthful energy with on-field experience gained in women’s leagues and AZS competitions.
We invite younger players born in 2011 and later, as well as somewhat older women who want to return to football, to join us.
