Officers of the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław, together with uniformed officers from the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit, conducted joint operations aimed at combating the trade in illegal excise goods. – In Bogatynia, in a parking lot, officers noticed a vehicle with cartons inside. The woman standing next to the car admitted that she was transporting cigarettes – reports Natalia Szczygielska from the Communications Department of the Tax Administration Chamber in Wrocław. – During the search, officers found 460,000 cigarettes without Polish excise stamps.
She adds: – The woman confirmed that the cigarettes in the cartons belonged to her. The officers secured the illegal goods and questioned the owner. The value of the confiscated illegal tobacco products exceeds PLN 404,000.
