We recorded an emotionally charged scene in which security escorted away a senior citizen who had made his way near the stage. Earlier, he had shouted “you’re lying!” at Trzaskowski and told people around him: “the son of a b*tch is lying.”
“Oh, look... There he is. And look, one man here is hurling insults. Look at all these negative emotions. Look, he’s practically trembling all over with negative emotions. But we welcome you, sir. Ladies and gentlemen, applause for this man, because he showed up despite clearly having completely different views. One man showed up, and look, one man here is hurling insults,” said Rafał Trzaskowski, commenting on the incident. “But ladies and gentlemen... Leave this man alone, leave this man alone, because this is not his fault. This man is filled with bad emotions, which unfortunately simply... May I ask what you said? But you see, you see, you see, you’re insulting, you’re insulting, because unfortunately these are precisely the bad emotions with which my rivals are trying to convince part of society. And that is what it’s all about, ladies and gentlemen: we must remain very calm, because it is not this man’s fault that he is so emotionally agitated. The fault lies precisely with what the other side is offering us: insults, fear, complexes and, above all, a constant attempt to attack. And yesterday it was visible as if through a lens: the other side was booing, the other side was insulting, it tried to force its way through the gates where the debate was taking place, while the other side is smiling and positive. Just like you,” the candidate added, referring to the debate in Końskie.
Security notified the police, who escorted away the man disrupting the rally. After the incident, people from Trzaskowski’s campaign staff began reacting nervously to all residents who wanted to approach the candidate. As a result, only party colleagues, people selected by them and those who lined up to have a photo taken with the candidate had access to Trzaskowski himself. It must be acknowledged, however, that Trzaskowski did not flee to a car after the rally to avoid voters, as Mentzen does.
