Małgorzata Trzaskowska, the wife of the Civic Coalition candidate for the office of President of the Republic of Poland, comes from Rybnik (like Bolesławiec, a city with a rich history and strong local traditions). She holds a university degree from the University of Economics in Kraków.
Małgorzata Trzaskowska often speaks out on social issues. The Trzaskowskis’ decision not to send their children to religious education classes and to forgo their son’s First Communion caused a widespread reaction in the media. This seemingly private matter became the subject of a public debate about the role of religion in the Polish education system.
The decision was further reinforced by public statements from Małgorzata Trzaskowska, who openly expressed disappointment with the Church’s attitude in the face of contemporary socio-political challenges.
In her private life, she has a twin sister and a brother. She met her future husband Rafał at the age of 19, in 1997. That meeting marked the beginning of a relationship that eventually led to marriage and a life together. The couple have two children: a daughter, Aleksandra, born in 2004, and a son, Stanisław, born in 2009.
In Bolesławiec, Małgorzata Trzaskowska admired our ceramics and decorated bisque ware.
Let us recall that on April 28, 2023, several dozen custodians signed an application in the Councilors’ Hall of Bolesławiec Town Hall to add Bolesławiec ceramics to the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is the first step toward having ceramics from Bolesławiec entered on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
