On 7 April 2025, the Bolesławiec municipal authorities signed an agreement with Meliobud from Nowogrodziec to carry out the project “Reconstruction of the Orla Street – Side Road.”
The contract covers the design and construction of a modern side road leading to Orla Street, including not only the road surface itself, but also lighting and a drainage system.
The investment includes, among other things: preparing complete design documentation, including obtaining the necessary arrangements and approvals; constructing a 136.4-metre road with a bituminous surface on a crushed-stone base (720 m²); creating a parking area made of openwork slabs (182 m²) and crushed-stone shoulders (110 m²); installing 319 m of concrete kerbs and 131 m of kerbside drainage channels; installing 5 modern LED streetlights; and constructing inspection chambers and sewer connections.
The contractor for the investment is Przedsiębiorstwo Konserwacji Urządzeń Wodnych i Melioracyjnych “Meliobud” from Nowogrodziec. The total investment is worth PLN 553,500, and the completion deadline is up to 8 months from the date the contract is signed.
We reported on the matter at the beginning of last year in an article entitled Problem with the access road near Orla Street. “Not potholes, but gaping holes”.
