During the match played on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the stadium in Legnica, there was a serious violation of the Act on the Safety of Mass Events. – The man set off signal flares, creating a threat to the safety of participants in this sporting event – reports Senior Aspirant Łukasz Porębski from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The police officers securing the mass event reacted immediately and took steps to identify those responsible for the act.
He adds: – Thanks to their good knowledge of the hooligan environment, the officers quickly identified those responsible. The woman and the man were detained immediately after the match ended. Both were completely surprised, as they had not expected to be identified and detained so quickly.
During the proceedings, it was established that the woman had brought two signal flares into the stadium, which were set off by her partner.
The result? The 34-year-olds were brought before the court under expedited proceedings. Both were sentenced to one year of restriction of liberty, consisting of an obligation to perform 24 hours of unpaid community service per month.
But that was not the end of it. The woman tried to mislead the officers by claiming to be her sister. The spokesperson:
It turned out that the reason for this unsuccessful attempt was that the 34-year-old woman was wanted under an arrest warrant to serve a sentence of one year and two months in prison. Ultimately, the woman was taken to a correctional facility, where she will serve the previously imposed sentence.
