The incident occurred in the Zabobrze housing estate in Jelenia Góra. – After discovering the damage, representatives of the housing association immediately reported the matter to the police – reports Junior Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters.
The damage was estimated at nearly PLN 12,000.
After analysing surveillance camera footage and carrying out investigative activities, officers identified and then arrested the 36-year-old suspect.
The man stated that he had committed the act because he wanted to get into his friend’s flat, whose intercom was broken.
The Jelenia Góra resident has already been charged in the case. He will now face trial for the crime, for which he could face up to five years in prison.
