A reader reported to us that it is very difficult to get into the passport office in Bolesławiec and that the wait is supposedly as long as a month: “Someone calculated that they accept one person per hour.”

As reported by Bolesławiec City Hall:

After just three months of operation, the Local Passport Office in Bolesławiec has received nearly 600 passport applications. This demonstrates the growing interest of residents of Bolesławiec and nearby towns in this important document.

Indeed, if we divide 600 applications by the number of days in three months, it turns out that the Bolesławiec office processes only 10 applications per day.

What is Bolesławiec City doing to streamline this process?

As City Hall officials emphasize: – To streamline the entire process even further and shorten the waiting time for submitting an application, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman has decided to take steps to create a second service desk at the office. To this end, he has asked the surrounding municipalities and Bolesławiec County for financial support. The proposed contribution is PLN 1 per resident per year – truly very little in view of the benefits and efficiency of the entire process.

The Local Passport Office is located in the very center of Bolesławiec, in the City Hall building at pl. Marsz. J. Piłsudskiego 1, on the eighth floor, in room 802. The office is open on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Office:
