The performance took place during the opening of the exhibition “Extraordinary Croatia”, already known to the residents of Bolesławiec. Nearly two hundred people attending the opening warmly received the performance. The colorful costumes attracted photographers who wanted to capture our artists in photographs. – Six dancers and six members of the band, which played Croatian music, went to Warsaw – says Elżbieta Tor, instructor, choreographer and caretaker of the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble. – Our dancers performed the Croatian dance valpovaćko kolo. This trip is a distinction for us and a high evaluation of our repertoire.
The Croatian ambassador Ivan del Vechio became interested in the Bolesławiec ensemble during the opening at BOK-MCC. The dignitaries who attended the ceremony praised the performance. – I know Bolesławiec and I must admit that I am as delighted with it as I am with the performance I was able to see – says Franciszek Cemka, counsellor to the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
The ambassador presented the members of the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble with small gifts. Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, director of BOK-MCC, gave Ivan del Vechio and Tomasz Jagodziński, the museum director, products made of Bolesławiec ceramics.
