Councillor Rafał Fajkowski described on his profile what happened at the Economic Development and Budget Committee on 7 January. In a post on Facebook, he commented, among other things, on the opposition councillors’ motion concerning the construction of a road in Czerna and the installation of several solar streetlights in the locality. According to the Współpraca i Doświadczenie councillors, funding for these tasks should be obtained, among other sources, from the budget for road maintenance, such as snow removal and mowing roadside verges.

The arguments for these budget changes did not convince the councillor; according to Fajkowski’s account, they sounded absurd: “maybe there won’t be a winter” and “these are only motions and we have the right to submit them.”

The councillor summed up his colleagues’ line of thinking as follows:

"So now it’s time for a miracle: there must be no winter, nothing will grow in spring, and it will be daytime at night."

– It is highly likely that, following the changes made by the “Współpraca i Doświadczenie” councillors, the municipality’s 2025 budget will look disastrous – comments Paweł Skiersinis on his profile. – There is also a risk that the budget will not be adopted by the end of January, meaning that the Regional Audit Chamber could take over the matter. Most municipalities have already adopted their budgets. In Nowogrodziec, the councillors left the budget until the last moment – adds the Nowogrodziec resident involved in the matter.

Paweł Skiersinis also has no good forecasts for Nowogrodziec. He believes that, following the changes proposed by the Współpraca i Doświadczenie councillors, the modernization of the water treatment plant in Gierałtów will probably not take place (the investment was intended to replace development of Wróblewski Square). It may also prove impossible to improve the operation of the Municipal Police.

– In 2024, the Council adopted an amendment to the Municipal Police regulations, increasing the staffing level by one officer, and in 2025 it was also planned to hire one person, but now the Council has cut funding for the Municipal Police. If the Municipal Police is to operate, two or three officers are not enough. Either the money is found or it makes no sense. Will things finally be normal in our municipality? Are these budget reallocations supposed to be some kind of punishment for Joanna Świder? – Skiersinis asks in his Facebook post.
