At the December city council session, the director of BOK–MCC presented his institution’s budget for 2025. The city’s budget subsidy for BOK–MCC amounts to more than 4 million, while income from its own activities is nearly 7 million.

With this money, BOK–MCC will organize, among other things, in 2025:

  • Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival (official total expenditure on the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival in 2024 was nearly PLN 1.6 million)
  • International Ceramics Plein-Air Workshop
  • Exhibitions by ceramic artists
  • Workshops for schools and other entities, including American soldiers
  • Cooperation with the Bolesławiec Ceramic Brotherhood
  • City Days
  • Bolesławiec Star of Kindness
  • Bolesławiec Senior Citizens’ Day
  • Patriotic Songs Festival
  • Co-organization of WOŚP
  • Gala for the promotion of the city
  • Youth Quarrels with the Theatre (festival)
  • The “Around the World with Culture” series of meetings

BOK–MCC funds will also support festivals organized by residents; based on experience from previous years, we know that these are mainly parish festivals. BOK–MCC also hosts various regular classes and workshops for children, young people and adults, some of which are subject to participation fees. The institution, with an annual budget of 11 million, is managed by Kornel Filipowicz; the director’s salary is approximately PLN 15,000 gross per month.
