Leszek Socha disagrees with the opinion expressed in Paweł Skiersinis’s summary of 2024 that the problem in the commune lies in the conflict provoked by opposition councillors with mayor Joanna Świder and her actions.
– In my view, I still believe that the centre of power lies outside Nowogrodziec Commune – comments Leszek Socha. – In my twisted way of thinking, maintaining and fuelling the conflict benefits both sides. The only ones who benefit from it are the council and the mayor. For the new year, I would suggest that the councillors renew the oaths they took. Are you on the council just to be there and receive some kind of allowance? Don’t make a mockery of the people, and get to work. The commune’s potential is enormous, and so is its human potential. You are wasting it, quarrelling and polarising people – Leszek Socha addresses the injured.
Socha also commented on the councillors’ actions towards the opposition.
– You say that Mayor Relich has frozen the political scene in the commune – Socha comments. – Yes, he has frozen it. But is anyone trying to thaw it? No one is trying. There are simple solutions that you either fail to see or do not want to see, and everyone has forgotten everything about everything. I don’t know what is happening. I still maintain that exorcisms should be conducted in the building of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Office. There is something there that makes anyone who crosses its threshold completely change their way of thinking and their perception of reality and the possibilities of this commune. Maybe if the bell from our church rings out, something will change for you in the new year – the community activist concludes.
