The District Championship of Upper-Secondary Schools in Table Tennis is now behind us. On Tuesday, February 8, the final matches of the competition were played. In the girls’ category, the team from the Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych proved best, playing in the following lineup: Helena Szmid and Patrycja Matusiak. The team’s coach is Małgorzata Markowska. The table tennis players from II Liceum Ogólnokształcące came second, while representatives of Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych placed third.
In the boys’ category, the district championship was won by players from Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych, who competed in the following lineup: Patryk Kacperczyk, Mirosław Jaślan and Paweł Kalita. The team’s coach is Paweł Wiśniewski. The team from Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych took second place, while the ZSOiZ representatives came third.
Both championship teams advanced to the zonal competition. The tournament was organized by the Międzyszkolny Ośrodek Sportowy, which operates within the structures of the Powiatowe Centrum Edukacji i Kształcenia Kadr.
