On Monday, December 16, firefighters from PSP Lwówek Śląski went out twice to rescue drivers whose journeys ended in rollovers.

At the so-called “ill-fated bend” in Radoniów (DK No. 30), a Volkswagen rolled over. Fire crews from the JRG PSP in Lwówek Śląski and the KSRG OSP in Lubomierz were dispatched to the scene. Officers from the Lwówek police and a medical rescue team also took part in the response.

As the lwowecki.info service reports:

According to the police officers’ preliminary findings, the driver of a Volkswagen Caddy, a 45-year-old resident of Karkonosze County, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions. As a result, he lost control of the vehicle, which left the road, damaged road signs and rolled over.

Fortunately, the driver escaped the incident without injuries requiring hospitalization.

The second rollover occurred before 5:00 p.m. on DK 364, near the village of Rząsiny. Fire crews from the JRG PSP in Lwówek Śląski and the OSP in Rząsiny, Lwówek police patrols and a medical rescue team were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Lwówecki.info:

The preliminary findings of Lwówek police officers indicate that the driver of a Renault, a 19-year-old man, lost control of the vehicle, which left the road. The driver can consider himself very lucky, as he suffered no serious injuries in the incident and did not require hospitalization.

The driver was sober, says junior aspirant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer for the Lwówek police, adding that the man was fined.
