Officers of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters remind residents about the National Safety Threat Map application, through which various threats can be reported. Due to increasingly lower temperatures, it is worth paying attention to whether there are people in need in our surroundings whose life or health may be at risk. As part of Operation WINTER, police officers check such places, but we also ask you to let us know where it is worth checking an abandoned building, allotment hut or other abandoned premises.
Officers verify and inspect locations identified by residents on the National Safety Threat Map. Thanks to this application, every user can provide the Police with information about potentially dangerous locations.
Through the National Safety Threat Map the following can be reported:
- a person experiencing homelessness who requires assistance,
- acts of vandalism,
- unofficial bathing areas,
- illegal dumping sites,
- groups of minors at risk of demoralisation,
- poaching,
- dangerous locations in waterside areas,
- dangerous recreational activity locations,
- illegal tree felling,
- illegal car rallies,
- improper parking,
- unsecured crossings over railway tracks,
- unsecured railway crossings,
- inadequate road infrastructure,
- damage to greenery,
- quad biking in forested areas,
- exceeding the speed limit,
- consuming alcohol in prohibited places,
- drownings,
- use of intoxicating substances,
- stray dogs,
- burning grassland,
- road incidents involving wild animals,
- animal abuse,
- poor organisation of road traffic,
- begging.
Officers serving in the indicated areas are responsible for verifying and carrying out activities related to reports submitted in the county. Depending on the type of report, these may be officers from the prevention or traffic department. All points placed on the threat map are verified.
Police officers remind residents that a potentially dangerous location can also be added to the threat map via the National Safety Threat Map link found on the website of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
It should be remembered, however, that this application is not intended for reporting the need for urgent police intervention. In such cases, use the emergency number 112.
