Users of the IstotneInformacje.pl forum drew attention to the problem. An internet user using the nickname Magik asked who was fencing off the area around the PKP railway station in Bolesławiec and for what purpose. iAmVIP wrote that paid, unguarded parking would be created there. Meanwhile, Szalony Makler wondered how traffic would be organised at the entrance to the said car park (a booth is being built there where parking fees would be collected). “If someone is driving from the viaduct and wants to turn into the car park, and another driver is already standing there buying a ticket, then at that moment [ten pierwszy kierowca] will block the main road because they will not be able to turn off. Other drivers travelling onward will be waiting behind them. I will not comment on the idea of building a booth in such a place [...] because it is pure Mrożek.” He added: “Another matter is that people dropping someone off at or picking someone up from the station will now park on the other side of the street, which will increase the number of pedestrians crossing the road. […] We will hear about accidents or people being hit near the station more and more often. Well, unless they switch on the traffic lights. Then we will be able to boast that along a stretch of less than 1 km and six intersections, we have three sets of traffic lights. So it will be possible to cover this stretch on foot faster than by car.”

Bartłomiej Sarna, press spokesperson for the PKP Real Estate Management Branch in Wrocław, confirmed in a conversation with a journalist from the “Istotne Informacje” website and newspaper that paid parking would be created in front of the PKP railway station. “We leased this area to an external company. What that company does there and how much it charges drivers depends solely on the company,” Sarna stressed.

We asked about traffic organisation at the entrance to the car park. “The agreement that Polskie Koleje Państwowe signed with the company leasing the area states that the lessee must agree all details related to managing the car park with PKP,” the spokesperson added. We did not receive an answer to the question of when the car park would open. We will return to the matter.
