The National Revenue Administration warns against scammers who send fake messages concerning criminal fines in the form of leaflets.
We would like to inform you that KAS does not issue payment demands for criminal fines for traffic offences in the form of informational leaflets. Such printouts, bearing the illegally used KAS logo and a QR code, come from scammers.
The leaflet also contains a QR code that may contain a malicious URL and direct the person scanning it to download malware (malicious software) or unwanted software. Using it may result in data loss or infecting the phone with a virus.
We warn against this type of fraud and appeal for particular caution.
