A group of residents of the English city of Stoke-on-Trent, which organizes the British Ceramics Biennial, was looking for a partner for a certain project. They chose the Ceramics Museum in Bolesławiec. Not by chance. Stoke-on-Trent is a city that once cultivated traditions similar to those of Bolesławiec, as it was formerly famous for porcelain production on a global scale.
Now the two organizations are joining forces again. Next year, a youth exchange project will begin. The group from Bolesławiec will travel to Stoke-on-Trent, where, among other things, its members will take part in meetings with ceramic artists and create their own sculptures. The results of these activities will be presented at an exhibition. And vice versa: the same will happen with the young English participants who will come to Bolesławiec.
As the Ceramics Museum in Bolesławiec announces, its collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent will continue.
