Bolesławiec police:
At the beginning of this week, we reported on another case of carbon monoxide poisoning in Bolesławiec County. This time, the danger affected an 85-year-old woman. When a volunteer firefighter read about the senior’s story in the local media, she decided to provide a carbon monoxide detector so that the situation would not happen again.
Community police officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn visited the senior yesterday. She had suffered carbon monoxide poisoning several days earlier. The officers facilitated the handover of a detector that alerts users to a dangerous concentration of the hazardous gas.
The carbon monoxide detector was a heartfelt gift for the 85-year-old from a volunteer firefighter with the Volunteer Fire Service in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. As soon as she learned about the dangerous situation the elderly woman had found herself in, she decided to help. Her response was immediate: she contacted the editorial office and then called the Bolesławiec police unit.
As soon as it became known that the resident of Bolesławiec municipality had already left the hospital, the community police officers delivered the detector from the volunteer firefighter, who once again showed that the safety of the residents of Bolesławiec County is important to her.
Thank you very much for this beautiful gesture!
