A Bolesławiec resident from Macierewicz’s subcommittee cost taxpayers over one million zlotys. “He circled the Earth eight times”

As we read on gazeta.pl:

(...) Smolensk subcommittee member Andrzej Łuczak cost taxpayers more than one million zlotys.

The expert from Bolesławiec on Antoni Macierewicz’s subcommittee received such a large amount “among other things for record mileage claims and hotel costs.” The portal reports:

MON documents show that between 2016 and 2023, he drove 314,000 kilometres, equivalent to almost circling the Earth eight times.

The service adds that the Bolesławiec resident:

(…) on 29–31 March 2022 was allegedly supposed to travel the 921-kilometre Bolesławiec–Warsaw route every day, there and back. However, his presence at the meeting was not recorded on one of those days. Despite this, Andrzej Łuczak allegedly received reimbursement for the journey. MON inspectors suggest the possibility that false statements were made in the expense reports.
