As reported by Gromadka Municipality:
On Sunday, 10 November 2024, a solemn jubilee Mass was held in the filial Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Wierzbowa. We celebrated Mrs Janina CZABAN’s 100th birthday.
The jubilarian was born on 5 November 1924 in Janówka, Volhynia. After the Soviet army entered Polish territory on 17 September 1939, she was deported to Siberia with her entire family. There, she endured six difficult years of hunger, freezing temperatures and inhumane conditions. After the end of World War II, she returned to Poland in 1946 and settled in Stary Łom. In 1949, she married Emil Czaban (+1974) and moved to Patoka. She is the mother of two daughters, Maria and Jadwiga, and has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Municipality: – We wish her health and joy for many more years.
