Three preschool groups each presented one selected country. There were songs, movement games, tastings of regional dishes, and learning polite expressions in the national language of the countries presented.
– It was learning through play. The children developed their language skills and practiced their memory and concentration. By organizing Foreign Languages Day at the preschool, we teach children openness and empathy toward other cultures – says Violetta Jaworowska, the preschool’s director. – We awaken in children a curiosity that motivates them to deepen their skills and interests in the future, and to build their national identity in the context of being both a Pole and a European.
