The incident occurred on October 16, at around 11:15 a.m., on the road to Sosnówka. – At a bend, the victim was passing an oncoming Lexus. To avoid a collision, the woman moved as far to the right side of the road as possible. The Lexus driver turned around, then drove aggressively after her until he finally overtook her and blocked the road – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. – The man got out of the vehicle, approached the victim’s car and then kicked the left mirror, completely destroying it.

The woman began taking photographs to document the entire incident, which enraged the aggressor even further. The spokeswoman: – The man then began tugging at and kicking the driver’s door handle and punching the window.

Frightened by the entire situation, the victim drove away from the scene and reported the matter to the police. The damage was estimated at nearly PLN 3,000.

Based on the information collected and an analysis of surveillance camera footage, officers identified the suspect, who turned out to be a 27-year-old resident of Karkonosze County. The man was charged with damaging property.

Sub-Inspector E. Bagrowska:

During questioning, he explained his behavior as being caused by irritation over the woman’s alleged maneuver, claiming that, according to his account, she had moved into his lane while passing. In addition, the man had the damaged mirror from the victim’s vehicle in his apartment, which, as he claimed, he had taken as a souvenir.
