The relics were brought from Białystok by a group of parishioners who went there with their parish priest, Fr. Bogusław Wolański. They are probably blood in the form of a small black diamond. Relics consisting of the blood of Fr. Jerzy are given to parishes and communities where his veneration is developing.

During the ceremony, which will take place 11 days before Halloween, the new banner of the Association of Anti-Communist Opposition Activists and People Repressed for Political Reasons “Niezłomni,” Bolesławiec branch, will also be blessed. Several members of the association will receive awards for their activities in the Bolesławiec region.

It should be added that relics from the internal organs of Jerzy Popiełuszko are located in the Parish of the Resurrection of the Lord in Białystok. The Archdiocese of Białystok also has relics of the priest’s heart.
