A large part of Wednesday’s Council meeting was, naturally, devoted to the issue of the flooding. As Piotr Roman reported, work on building a dam on the Bóbr has been underway for several months. The municipal authorities are cooperating with Wrocław University of Science and Technology; over the coming weeks, officials are to meet again with specialists from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

The Mayor of Bolesławiec stressed that “a major program must be created for the Bóbr River and the Kwisa River” because the climate situation has changed. – Today we are dealing with different types of precipitation – he added.

He also pointed out that municipal officials are discussing the modernization of the sewage system, which had in fact been modernized just 20 years ago.
